Nursery Looks

I owe you an updated look for the nursery. We’re straying slightly away from our New Orleans idea and right into a beachside retreat. Imagine beach colors - blues, taupes, whites - with touches of metallics. Serene.

New Addition

We have a new family member!

No, the baby didn’t arrive yet (too soon!). We bought a car! After a long while of searching - we found plenty that were just not right - Trent found the perfect one!

We love it.

Halfway through second trimester

Today’s 23 week doctor visit went very well! Here are some stats:

::148.6 pounds - I’ve gained 14.5 pounds since conception and am right where I should be!
::118 over 70 blood pressure - normal
::140 Baby’s heat rate - normal, but was 150 last time… Baby may have been sleeping this morning during our visit. The doctor found the heartbeat right away and as Trent said “that’s a strong heartbeat!”
::23 cm womb measurement - our first time being measured. This is a measurement of the length of the womb. I should be 1cm for every week of pregnancy… And it’s right on!

Our next appt is in a month and will be a glucose test to see if we’ll be susceptible to gestational diabetes. After that, our appts will be every two weeks!

Baby is doing great! Thanks for being such a good baby!

Ps. Baby just woke up and gave me a little kick! :)

Baby is loved

Baby received several packages in the mail this week, all containing gifts from the registry. So sweet! Some of the gifts were books, which we promptly read aloud to baby.
